How to arrive to the Pena Palace
- By Train: Take the Sintra Line train from Oriente, Rossio, or Entrecampos stations in Lisbon. The train ride takes about 40 minutes.
- By Bus: From Sintra train station, take bus number 434. This bus stops directly at the entrance of Pena Palace.
- By Car: It is not the best idea to drive to Pena Palace because there is not a lot of parking and it can be hard to get there by car. But, if you do decide to drive, you can park in one of Sintra’s designated parking areas and then take a shuttle bus up to the palace.
- Walk: For people who like hiking, there are a few trails that start in Sintra village and lead all the way up to the palace. The Santa Maria and Seteais trails have beautiful views, but they are pretty challenging hikes, so be sure you are in good shape if you try them.
